FIFA World Cup 2026 Student and Young Professional Business Case Competition

The FIFA World Cup 2026 Student and Young Professional Business Case Competition challenges participants to develop a two-page technical business proposal focused on enhancing Miami’s mobility and operations planning for the 2026 World Cup. By learning from past planned special events, participants will propose effective strategies to optimize transportation and event management. Selected teams will present their solutions in a 10-minute pitch, followed by a Q&A session, with winners determined based on problem clarity, technical methodology, feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and presentation skills.

Topics (Please Choose One)

  1. The Golden Glades pedestrian bridge connecting to Tri-Rail requires rehabilitation to enhance safety, accessibility, and aesthetics. How can design improvements transform the existing structure into a more visually appealing and secure pathway for pedestrians?
  2. Effective wayfinding and signage are critical for seamless transportation during major events. How can Miami as a host city enhance FIFA’s branding and wayfinding strategy to ensure clear, accessible, and consistent navigation for attendees from venue exits to transit connections?
  3. Fan Fest locations attract large crowds, leading to increased travel demand and congestion in surrounding areas. How can Miami as a host city implement effective Travel Demand Management (TDM) strategies to optimize mobility, enhance transit accessibility, and minimize disruptions for both event attendees and local communities?
